It's with great pleasure that we are able to announce that Reuben Taylor has taken on the role of First XI captain.

Reuben has been with Chilt since he was a junior, making his debut for the U11s in 2009 when he was just 8-years old! Since then he's wracked up at least 347 games and sits second in the all-time run scorers' list and fifth for wickets taken.

Reuben takes charge for the first time on the field on 26 April when we play Preston Nomads in a pre-season friendly, with Hugo Gillespie stepping down. Hugo presided over the First XI for two seasons, guiding us to third and fourth place finishes in Division 2, two of the most succesful seasons in the club's history, and the we'd like to take this opportunity to express our utmost gratitude to Hugo for all that he has done for the club.

Reuben will be supported by Charlie Davies as vice-captain and we wish the pair of them good fortune as we bid to reach the top tier of the Sussex League.
