Last weekend's Summer Party was one to remember! 🌞🎉
The fun kicked off in spectacular style with our colour run. There was plenty of laughter (and plenty of colour!) as kids—and more than a few grown-ups—joined in the chaos. A huge thank you to Amy Hayes, Raylene and Dan Barnes for organising, and to Stedman Landscapes and Frank Hurst for making it happen through their generous sponsorship of the colour run.
On the subject of sponsors, Parkview Clinic and Ben Hogan were also generous sponsors of the party as a whole. We're very grateful for your support.
Once everyone had been thoroughly rainbow-fied, the younger crowd enjoyed themselves on our bouncy castle while the adults made a beeline for the bar. The scorebox underwent a rather glamorous transformation into a Pimms Bar—thanks, Jo!—and the soundtrack for the evening came courtesy of a fantastic local band The Other's Brothers, featuring our very own Fourth XI skipper, Neil North, keeping the beat on the drums.
The sun stayed out, the dance moves got steadily more adventurous, and everyone had an amazing evening. To top it all off, England just about managed to edge past Panama, giving everyone one more reason to celebrate before heading home for a well-earned rest.
A massive thank you to our brilliant organisers and volunteers—Jason Davies, Mandy Davies, Raylene Barnes and Dan Barnes, Amy Hayes — for all their hard work behind the scenes. On the night, Dave Rawlins, Patrick Rawlins and Jo Alcott behind the bars, the U11 parents on BBQ duty and the team of ladies helping to serve food and drinks - thank you! Thanks also to Northy and the band for keeping the party going, and to every single one of you who came along and made the night such a fantastic success. Here's to doing it all again next year!
