ABOUT US

We are an ambitious club based across two neighbouring villages in West Sussex. We are a welcoming, family run cricket club who prides itself on providing an inclusive, fun, safe and sociable environment for children and adults alike. Our committee and senior members are committed to making West Chiltington & Thakeham Cricket Club the best it can be.

The club plays competitive league cricket, women's league cricket, plus midweek evening matches, women's softball cricket and friendly sunday cricket.

Our foundations are built on a large junior section for both boys and girls with options for all ages starting at just five years old.

We are a Sussex Cricket Foundation affiliate club with Clubmark accreditation. This means the club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for all its members.

We welcome all from any background, playing or non-playing. Click below to find out more about our membership options.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Boys and girls, men and women. Ages 5 through to 75. Friendly and competitive cricket. We have options to suit every age, gender and ability. Whether you want to play Saturday cricket for one of our four league sides, our women's league side or friendly cricket midweek or on Sundays. Our competitive teams play in the Sussex Cricket League, the largest organised cricket league in the world! But that is just one part of the wide range of cricket we offer.

WHERE ARE WE?

We're fortunate enough to have two glorious grounds each with new pavilions.

Our main ground in West Chiltington has fantastic views, modern facilities and a square widely recognised as one of the best in the county.

Over in Thakeham, our second ground was built in 2018 as part of the Abingworth development and provides the club with a permanent second base.

A RICH HISTORY

We've been around for some time, but we've only been known as West Chiltington & Thakeham Cricket Club since 2000 following a merger. A lot has happened in the years that followed and we've come a long way from the two small village cricket clubs we started life out as.
