Hi all,
Hope you all had a good Easter and have been wintering well, dusting off a few cobwebs at winter nets or oiling up those creaking joints in preparation for the season ahead! Those at Uni or College have no doubt continued to play cricket indoors all winter and will be raring to go come pre-season and the fast approaching league season!
We are conscious it’s been a long time since some of us were together and we don’t want to be going into the season cold so have arranged for the bar to be open and food made available on the evening of Saturday 22 April for a pre-season get together. This is aimed primarily at senior players, by which we mean any adults or juniors who would expect to be playing in any form of senior cricket at weekends or mid-week competitions such as the Slam. Our new overseas player Andrew Young will have arrived and will be in attendance so please make the effort to introduce yourself and welcome him. Sunday players and Vets also welcome!
We are scheduled to be playing Preston Nomads during the day in a friendly so the evening social will begin once our Club XI have returned from the that game, sometime around 7pm/7:30pm at the main West Chiltington Ground.
