An unbelievable hat-trick to finish the game from Finlay Oratis gave West Chilt U12s a tie against Eastergate in the SJCF yesterday.
All seemed lost as Eastergate were on course for a comfortable four wicket win chasing 126 runs to win. Jonty Batchelor had earlier top scored with 45 in Chilt's first innings total. Leo Fulbrook scored 16.
In the second innings Eastergate were cruising at 100-4 and 125-6 but Finlay had other ideas! He'd already taken two wickets but heading into the 27th over with Eastergate needing just one run to win Finlay took four wickets, all bowled, including a hat-trick to finish the game with figures of 6-15 and a tied match.
An unbelievable end to a great game of cricket! Well bowled Finlay!
The team play Burgess Hill at Abingworth on Thursday before Arundel away on Friday.
