End of Season Dinner & Awards

Updated: Apr 5

We recently held our end of season awards dinner for senior cricket at the clubhouse. After last season's big bonanza, this was a more low-key affair but great evening and the intimate setting really added to the atmosphere. It was great to see so many friendly faces after a brief interlull since the end of the season.

Huge thanks going to Jo and Ben Alcott for their efforts organising another memorable EOSD!

Below is a list of all our award winners in senior cricket for 2023. Congratulations to all our winners!

Club Person of the Year – Alan Reeves for his efforts in every facet across club life but particularly his hands on approach to ground maintenance and the square. You'll not find a more worthy candidate than Al! Well deserved and much overdue!

The Glover Young Player of the Year – Matthew Farners – 16-year-old Matthew played for both the Third and Fourth XI this year, taking crucial wickets for both teams. His 68 not out and 5-13 in the same game for the Third XI against West Wittering II, arguably the performance of the season in all adult teams, 5-23 against Rudgwick and 3-18 against Broadbridge Heath II were the standout moments at crucial times. Spoilers, he also won Bowling awards for both the Third and Fourth XIs!
