The club has entered into the Voneus Village Cup this summer for the first time since three consecutive seasons in 2003-2005.
The competition, running since 1972, begins with regional matches against other village clubs with the prize a final showdown at Lords, the home of cricket.
Matches are played on Sundays. There are certain requirements, teams must be from a 'a village shall deemed to be a rural community consisting of not more than 10,000 inhabitants' and overseas players are not allowed.
Since the turn of the century, Findon, Rottingdean and Glynde have represented Sussex by making it all the way to the final. With a bit of luck we could do the same!
