Over the last six years the Sussex Cricket League Umpires’ Panel has decreased by almost 50%. In an effort to reverse this trend the Sussex Official Association, in conjunction with the League, are running some free Umpiring Courses, prior to next season.
One of these courses will be held in the pavilion at our Thakeham ground.
Sunday 1st December 2024 at Thakeham (West Chiltington & Thakeham CC).
Sunday 16th February 2025 at Arundel Castle.
Both will run from 10am to 3.30pm.
The courses are FREE and aimed at occasional umpires, coaches/parents who might umpire junior matches and anyone wishing to brush up on the laws. It is not an ECB induction course.
