We'd like to bring to your attention a fantastic initiative we are supporting at WCTCC.
Following the return of recreational cricket, Sussex Cricket and the Sussex Cricket Foundation have re-launched ‘Tea 4 Two’.
The initiative encourages local cricket clubs such as ourselves to use our facilities as a hub for donations of food in partnership with a local food bank to help tackle food poverty in the UK.
In Sussex alone, the demand on food banks has risen significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The launch of the ‘Tea 4 Two’ initiative looks to combat this issue across the county of Sussex. We have partnered with the food bank in Horsham.
We encourage you to drop off food donations prior to training and matches. We have set-up boxes at our main ground in West Chiltington and will pick-up and deliver the donations to those who need them most.
Some suggested items are below and Horsham Food Bank have specifically asked that additional items such as sponge puddings and fruit juices are required, although any item donated will be used and will not be wasted.
