Could you be a Welfare Officer?

We're recruiting! We're looking for a second Welfare Officer to assist Sarah as the club is becoming ever larger and too much for one person to manage on their own.

This would be a great role for a parent in particular as much of it involves safeguarding children.

What does a Welfare Officer do?

Well in a nutshell, you would be helping Sarah to make sure policies and procedures are in place, and that everyone who should be vetted to work with children, is vetted by the ECB. There are other aspects such as being a point of contact if anyone has concerns.

Training

This would be available and obviously Sarah and the rest of the committee would be on hand to help at all times.

But how much work is it really?!

Honestly, it wouldn't be a great deal! Sarah has it under control because she is a star, but she could do with some extra assistance, particularly as she has girls and women's sections to think about too.

If you're interested, drop us a message or contact Sarah directly and we can answer any questions you might have.
