Dear Members and Friends of the Club,
I’m writing with a round-up of news and upcoming events for the first couple of months of the new season.
Successful and Enjoyable Pre-season Quiz Supper
Thank you to everyone who supported our recent quiz. Over £700 was raised for club funds from the raffle, entry fees and a very generous donation from one of our quizzers. Our next quiz will be held in the Autumn and we’re hoping for another good turnout. Thanks go to Jo Alcott for organising the event and to Jake Hodgson for once again setting varied and entertaining questions for our quizzers to ponder.
Pre-Season Social and Information Evening
This Friday 22nd March 5.30-9pm in the West Chiltington Pavilion
All senior and junior members, parents, supporters and potential new members are all welcome to attend. The bar will be open with snacks available from the kitchen. Our age group coaches and committee members will be on hand to answer any queries you may have and we’ll be able to demonstrate the new online membership system. Also, if you or your children have any friends who would like to join the club, please encourage them to come along. It’s also an opportunity to catch up and renew acquaintances, start talking and planning for the new season, visit our 2nd hand kit shop, find out more about ECB All Stars and sign up for our fundraising 100Club
Online Registration and Membership System
Over 70 of our junior and senior members have already used our new online system to register and pay their membership fees. You can access the system from our membership page on the club website here https://www.wctcc.org.uk/membership.
Please could all registrations and payments be completed by 3rd April? This will allow us to get all of our behind the scenes admin.and databases up to date for the start of the season. Thanks for your support.
Men’s Indoor Nets start this Saturday 23rd March
Arundel Castle Indoor Cricket School
Nets from 10am-12 noon and continue on 30th March and 6th, 13th, 20th April. Please bring £5 per person per session to help cover some of the costs of the net hire.
Pre -Season Work Party at the West Chilt Ground
Sunday 14th April from 9.30am
Please try to spare some time to help us get the ground and pavilion ready for the season ahead. Complimentary bacon rolls and refreshments will be provided during the morning.
Golf Day at Cowdray Park – Friday 3rd May
We are pleased to announce that our WC&TCC Golf Day will be held at Cowdray Park GC, Midhurst on Friday 3rd May. Teams will be drawn at random with tee times between 10.30am and 11:30am, after coffee and bacon rolls. This is a great opportunity to get to meet other club members in a relaxed setting and we have a 100% record when it comes to perfect weather!
Entry fee is approx..£40 per player tbc

If you need to order club branded playing or practice kit our kit shop is open and can be found at our online club shop.
Outdoor Coaching for U5s-U14s
Starts on Friday 26th April at West Chilt (weather permitting). Adults and U15/16s should watch out for emails confirming when their outdoor coaching will be starting.
