Pre-season Social and Information Evening

Registration Evening - Announcing a new online registration system.

When: Friday 22nd March, times 5.30pm-8.30pm

Where - The Pavilion, Main Ground

Who – All those involved, senior, junior members and , New members, parents in the club members all welcome

The club and bar will be open with hot snacks available from the kitchen. Our age group coaches and committee members will be on hand to answer any queries you may have and we’ll be able to demonstrate the new online membership system. Also, if you or your children have any friends who would like to join the club, please encourage them to come along on this evening.

Background

Over the last few months Mandy (and Jason) have been working extremely hard preparing for the launch of a new online registration system which will be in place very soon. It will allow all members, existing and new, to register and pay their annual subscriptions online.

There are a host of reasons why this new system is beneficial, not least of all the legal considerations around GDPR, but for you the member, it will be a much easier way of registering online, at home, and paying your annual membership quickly and easily.

This is obviously a major change in how the club will manage and communicate with its membership but it hasn’t been done just for the sake of change nor without a great deal of thought and research.

All members will be asked to make use of the new system from the outset.

Registering for 2019 and the Registration evening

The Registration Evening has always been much more than just “signing a form and paying subs for another year” event. It has always been an important date in the club’s social calendar and it’s important that it continues.

It provides an opportunity to

• bring all members (senior/Junior/parents/ etc. ) together
• welcome new members
• catch up, renew acquaintances, start talking and planning for the new season.
• allow parents to meet and speak to coaches, managers and captains, perhaps for the first time.
• visit the 2nd hand kit shop and select quality items at a fraction of retail prices.
• 100 Club membership.
• All Stars

There will also be a couple of laptops set up on the evening to show how it all works and allow those who wish to register to do so. Members can also register from their mobile phones on the night.

Importantly however, if you are unable to attend the evening you will still be able to register in your own time, quickly and conveniently and before the season starts.
